Thanks for your entertaining blog, I wanted to know about the 17C elephant siege of Jodpur. Yes yes yes I spelt it wrong (the first palace you stayed at with the view of the red fort on the hill)
I'll do some research (ask Dad) and include that when I do a catch up post about Jodhpur. The fort in that photo (Mehrangah Fort) was never taken by force, due to its exceptionally effective fortifications and defensive position.
