Six and a half months old, 23 October
Sam has started daycare, to his mother's delight. Which means he's started getting the coughs and colds that are part of any child's introduction to organised childcare. And he had his six month vaccinations yesterday, so is still a touch out of sorts today. That doesn't make him any less gorgeous.
At daycare, his Mum was asked to supply a family photo for their notice board collage, and she realised she didn't have one. So I took one today.
Sam can also sit up independently ...
His aunts, grandparents and cousins love holding him ...
And he loves sinking his about-to-erupt teeth into all sorts of things...
Four and a half months old, 28 August.
Sam is growing apace. Here's a selection of pics from our family gathering in late August.
Nearly four months old, 31 July.
Just woken up, and not thrilled about it.
Six weeks old, 14 May.
We caught up with the (increasingly less) wee fella again today. Yay!
Sam woke up soon after arriving, but after too little sleep. After a bit of a feed and a hand-around, it was time to swaddle him, and pat him to sleep.
You can see how he's just about to drift off. Not.
Later, he had a good long sleep on his grandmother's lap, helped by putting a hat on his head (block out visual stimuli), and by his noisy cousins going across the road for a play. After he'd woken up, and was strapped into his capsule to go home, he gave us some gorgeous gummy smiles.
Nine days old, 10 April.
Sam met two of his cousins today, and an uncle.
This is a fairly common look for Sam at the moment - fists in face and cross-eyed.
His grandmother made a madai (baby sling) for him, and Noni, Gopa and Nick got to try it out (ie remember how to use one). Sam eventually fell asleep on his Dad's chest.
Two days old, 3 April.
The delighted new mum.
The doting grandfather, Gopa.
