Japan: Azabu Court

As noted earlier, we're staying at a serviced apartment not far from Em's. Azabu Court is one of the few that offers short-term rentals (days and weeks, rather than just month-to-month). Although the decor is a little dated, they're comfortably spacious, the staff are helpful and English-speaking, and it is only a few minutes stroll to the Hiroo subway station, ex-pat targeted supermarkets, and cafes and restaurants.

From our spacious two-bedroom top-floor suite, we have views in three directions. Out one side, we're overlooking construction sites

but out the other side we can admire the gorgeous private garden of a nearby house.

As our apartment has been clearly created by combining two separate apartments, there are two bathrooms, two toilets, two sinks. (The boys' room was part of a bedsit/single person's room; ours was a spacious one-bedroom apartment with large living room and balcony.)
Looking through the living room, past kitchenette/toilet/shower to our bedroom (don't mind the mess!)
Kids' room with door to bathroom visible. I'm standing where the futon is usually laid out.
The rates are reasonable, the hot water reliable and good pressure, the wifi is free and fast, and there are plenty of power points about the place. And a kettle is provided, for the oh-so-essential cups of tea.

All up, we'd highly recommend it to others who don't want to impose so heavily on Em and/or need a bit of personal space.
